Gothic Rock= gen de muzica derivat din post punk in 1980siceva, pionieri au fist trupe ca Bauhaus. alte trupe: London after midnight, Siouxie and the banshees, Bella morte, Collide si altele in genul lor. ASTA ESTE GOTH-UL PUR!!!!!!!!!!
Gothic Metal = gen derivat in 95 din heavy metal. prima piesa gothic metal a fost Gothic de la Paradise lost.  alte trupe: Tristania, SIrenia, Elis, Leaves' eyes, Lacuna Coil, Within temptation. gothic metalul nu are nimic de-a face cu GOTH-UL :X
PS: NU! evanescence si Nightwish nu sunt gothic metal. Nightwish sunt symphonic metal, si evanescence nu sunt nici macar Metal. eu un gen de hard rock cu influente melodic si simfonic
